General Medicine and Wellness Care
At Village Animal Clinic we understand that just as with humans, prevention is key. Regular wellness exams, appropriate vaccinations or vaccine titers, routine dental care and proper nutrition can add vitality and years to your pets life. Our veterinarians will customize individualized wellness plans for each patient, based on each unique lifestyle. Since pets age more quickly than humans, at around seven years of age, we also begin our senior wellness screening. This is especially important as the general onset of disease in seemingly healthy pets will often go unnoticed. Once symptoms do appear, the condition may be costly to diagnose and treat. A senior wellness evaluation includes laboratory tests to help diagnose blood disorders, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, infection, cancer and thyroid disease and other hormonal problems. Many of these conditions can be prevented, controlled or completely reversed if diagnosed early. Other screening tests that may be recommended include blood pressure measurement, chest and abdominal radiographs, electrocardiogram and ultrasound. Prevention is one of the simplest ways available to help your loving companion lead a longer and healthier life.
Village Animal Clinic is also equipped to quickly and efficiently diagnose and treat your pet in the event of illness. From a simple case of diarrhea to chronic conditions and emergency care. Our highly experienced veterinarians are supported by a professional and caring staff of licensed veterinary technicians. (Similar to registered nurses in human medicine.)
We offer complete veterinary care for your pet, from routine spays
and neuters, vaccinations, nutrition and dental care to the diagnosis
and treatment of complex medical conditions.
